November Membership Drive/Dinner, Christmas Gala & Wine Auction, and New Member Induction Dinner.
November Membership Drive/Dinner @ The Chef’s Table, Fanshawe College
Skål International London Club returned to the Chef’s Table at Fanshawe College for a successful New Membership Drive/Dinner held on November 12, 2019. Members and invited guests enjoyed an unique tasting experience with a delicious 3-course dinner created by the very talented Culinary Students attending Fanshawe College.
Our host for the evening was James Smith, Associate Dean, School of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts, along with Bill Panopoulos, one of the professors that led Culinary Team for the evening.
Members and invited guests enjoyed a PowerPoint presentation for Membership created by Skål International Canada. In addition, Membership Benefits handouts and Membership Applications were made available.

Christmas Gala & Wine Auction at Grand Hall, Windermere Manor
Brenda Brant, GM & Skål International member, hosted Skål International members and their guests to a wonderful and festive evening for their Christmas Gala & Silent Auction.
The baronial splendor of the Grand Hall, with its lofty ceilings, hand-hewn beams, oak balcony and welcoming wood-burning stone fireplace all echo a by-gone era of pageantry and privilege, provided a perfect setting for our delicious 3-course custom meal. A new additional to the Windermere Manor offerings, the Bee Village has proven to one of the sweeter additions. Built in April 2010 for the Manor by local licensed apiarist Rick Huismann, their Bee Village produced its first honey ion September of that same year. Since then, the honey has been available for sale and used extensively in Restaurant Ninety One and in the Grand Hall.
Throughout the evening, members and guests had an opportunity to bid on some great prizes from One Night Accommodation at the Windermere Manor and Residence Inn Marriott London, Brunch for Two at the Delta Hotel. Armouries London, Water Park Passes at East Golf Park, two VIP Business Class Tickets on VIA Rail and much more!

New Member Induction Dinner
Skål International London celebrated the new year with their new member induction dinner at one of their favorite venues, Idlewyld Inn & Spa. Everyone was treated to a wonderful evening of great cuisine and exceptional service, thanks to their host Effie Gurman and her staff.
Taking part in the New Member Induction were Brenda Brandt (Windermere Manor), Kristian Crossen (Western University), Karen Dowhan (Tourism London), Timon Fessahaye (Checker Limousine), and Kim Mantovani (London Health Sciences Centre).
