Greetings fellow Skålleagues,
Huge congratulations and thank you to the Skål Adelaide team for hosting us at our National Assembly this month! I have to say, a standout for me was definitely feeding the giraffes at the welcome reception, what an amazing treat! From animal encounters and a bustling little industry expo at the Adelaide Zoo, to a glam dinner at the National Wine Centre, Skålleagues enjoyed a vibrant social program. But at the heart of the weekend was the Assembly itself—an invaluable opportunity for club-to-club conversations, sharing updates, and engaging in the kind of meaningful discussions that strengthen our Association.
All the warm fuzzies to the Adelaide committee— your warmth, professionalism, and hard work, with the wonderful support from local TAFE students, made the 112th National Assembly a terrific weekend for all.
Upcoming Australian National Assemblies
Gold Coast – 13–15 March 2026
Early next year, we’ll gather on the Gold Coast for sun, surf, and Skål—all set within the stunning Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove. With all events taking place under one roof, Skålleagues can look forward to a seamless experience, from panel sessions to waterside celebrations, all in a truly lush setting. President Peter has promised us a weekend to remember, and no doubt Queensland is ready to deliver. All the details will be coming soon.
Hobart – 4–6 September 2026
Our Tasmanian friends are preparing to host us next September in Hobart — a destination renowned for its waterfront charm, creative culture, and breathtaking natural beauty. Mark your diaries now!
On the Global Stage
Skål World Congress, Cusco, Peru – 25–30 September 2025
A bucket-list destination if ever there was one! Cusco, the gateway to the famed Machu Picchu, is hosting this year’s World Congress, and we send our very best wishes to the Australian Skålleagues currently making their way to Peru to proudly represent us on the world stage.
It’s a busy spring for Skål, and for our industry as we prepare for the state tourism awards, and start making Christmas travel plans. Remember — every event and every destination, near or far, is a chance to strengthen networks, explore new opportunities, and embrace the true spirit of Skål.
